We've ticked all of Boris's boxes and everything in place to make sure that you can visit us safely.
We have a ton of new conditions to comply with to maintain social distancing, but please remember the changes we've made are for the safety of everyone. Here's what you need to know before heading down to The Hangar.
PLEASE NOTE due to the strict guidelines we have to adhere to, you WILL NOT be served if you have children with you, even if they are outside the pub or over on the grass
NEW OPENING HOURS
For July, we will be operating slightly shorter hours while we adjust to the new way of working. This will be reviewed regularly and might change:
TABLE RESERVATION NOT ESSENTIAL
There is no need to book a table in advance although we are now taking reservations on our website (click on BOOK at the top - Please don't ask to reserve by email or through social media).
We've turned all inside tables into booths that safely separate guests and have created spaces in our garden and cabin. We'll only be reserving 4 tables in advance and the rest will be allocated on arrival via our virtual queue system. There will be no time limits on tables (as long as you're drinking!).
HOW TO PUB (COVID-19 EDITION)
If you think of The Hangar as a restaurant without food, you'll get an idea of how we'll be operating for a while. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted at the entrance where we're required to take the contact details of one of your party and then we can seat you.
VIRTUAL QUEUE SYSTEM
All guests must be seated and there can be no standing at the bar or tables. This will greatly reduce our capacity and we know it will upset some people but please bear with us.
If you have a reservation we'll seat you as soon as your table area has been sanitised, if not you'll need to place yourself in our virtual queue. This can be done by scanning a QR code or asking a member of staff and you'll then get a text when your table is ready.
ORDER AT TABLE APP
A new Order At Table App is available to allow guests to choose drinks from our full menu and pay by card or with Apple Pay. Once your drinks are ready, they will be delivered to your table. Our app can be downloaded in advance here .
If you prefer you can order from a member of staff at your table and we will still be accepting cash and card payments.
We will also be providing a seating area outside the pub once the fruit and veg man has gone each day, this will be reserved for the use of Hangar customers only.
To drink outside the front of the pub, you will need to be seated in our designated area and we will operate a table service. Drinks are not allowed outside this area including on the wall or grass opposite.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR - IMPORTANT BIT
We obviously want you to have a great time during your visit but this can't be to the detriment of other guests. You must observe current social distancing guidelines and respect the space of others at all times. Please drink responsibly and avoid shouting, and if you have to sneeze or cough, please use a tissue.
The Hangar will remain a strictly Over 18 venue including all outside areas.

DELIVERIES / CLICK AND COLLECT
We have now resumed our takeaway service providing drinks are taken away from The Oval to enjoy at home. Please do not drink on the walls outside or green opposite.

Q. Do you allow children?
The Hangar is over 18 at all times, sorry. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked for ID
Q. Do you allow dogs?
We love dogs!! Fresh water and treats are always available. All we ask is that dogs are kept under control especially during busy times.
